Dan has over 15 years’ experience working in tropical marine ecology and coral reef conservation in his role as Head of Research for Operation Wallacea. He is a well-published research scientist with particular expertise in conducting biodiversity fieldwork on coral reefs. More recently, Dan has become increasingly involved in the development of biodiversity credits and how they can be used to fund large-scale restoration and conservation globally.
